Fishing
early season? Your hut is located in Hogg Bay, on
beautiful Georgian Bay. Pike is the most prevalent
fish, but the perch and walleye show up regularly -
especially at first ice.
About the
middle of January our Midland Bay location is usually
ready (the ice breaker comes in every year on Boxing Day
- just to prolong the agony!) Herring is the most
common fish caught, but pike, walleye and perch are not
uncommon. When the herring hit, get your line back
down QUICK because the school is under your hut.
Your hut is
walking distance from shore in both locations - so your
arrival time is flexible and you're never stranded out
on the ice.
Backwater
Ice Hut Rentals are great for families (we offer 4 small
hole huts so the kids won't fit through the holes - just
in case!); guys weekends or a romantic couple weekend.
